ASR to assist U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) to calculate Gross Domestic Income

ASR Analytics is awarded a contract by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) to evaluate and improve the methods that are currently used to prepare estimates of Gross Domestic Income (GDI), a key measure of macroeconomic performance in the National Income and Product Accounts (NIPAs).  Since their inception in the 1930s, the NIPAs have become the preeminent source of quantitative information on the United States economy.  ASR analytics is responsible for all aspects of the study, including: (1) synthesizing information on the GDI estimation process; (2) documenting the current methodology; (3) analyzing historical data on the adjustments that are used to bring tax concepts into alignment with economic concepts; and (4) proposing conceptual and empirical improvements to the current methodology.
