ASR Analytics is awarded a subcontract by Grant Thornton to support an engagement with the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA). ASR will bring leading edge econometric capabilities to the project in order to provide EDA with a study that yields an actionable, defensible, precise, and repeatable method for both measuring and managing the social and economic impacts of EDA programs.
ASR to develop personal income tax database for State of Maryland

ASR Analytics is awarded a project with the Office of the Comptroller, State of Maryland, Bureau of Revenue Estimates (BRE) to develop a specialized personal income tax database. BRE seeks to achieve four objectives through this project: (1) provide descriptive information across various population/geographic segments; (2) provide information to help answer policy questions; (3) provide information to help determine the impact of federal law changes; and (4) provide information which can be used to forecast State revenues. ASR is performing this work with Quantria Strategies and Analytika.
ASR to develop wireless PDA business intelligence application for a large commercial vehicle manufacturer

ASR Analytics is awarded a contract with a Large Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer to build a wireless PDA business intelligence application. Development of the application used SAS Integration Technologies, including Metadata Server authentication and authorization, SAS Stored Processes, and HTML forms. The application provides real-time query capability to surface vehicle supply and demand databases, create email alerts, and reports on current inventory through a handheld PDA.
ASR provides Business Intelligence ‘Quick Start’ for North Harris Montgomery Community College District

ASR Analytics is awarded a project with North Harris Montgomery Community College District (NHMCCD) and the SAS Institute (SAS) to carryout tasks related to the implementation of a BI Quick Start project focused on enrollment management. The primary objectives of the BI Quick Start were to build data integration processes from a SQL Server database containing extracts from NHMCCD’s Colleague ERP system to develop and validate several critical registration reports.
ASR to help U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) with technology modernization effort

ASR Analytics is awarded a contract with IRS Business Rules and Requirements Management team, to develop detailed requirements for Release 4 of the CADE system. CADE is the cornerstone of the IRS Modernization effort, and is the first new system in over 40 years for processing tax returns. ASR is responsible for mapping system capabilities to the CADE Enterprise Architecture, decomposing each of the capabilities into constituent requirements, and developing “business rules” that will enable CSC to develop the required functionality.
ASR documents procurement process for the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

ASR Analytics is awarded a contract with IRS Procurement to develop a Procurement 101 Reference Guide, which will document and illustrate the Acquisition Life Cycle in intuitive terms—enabling customers to quickly understand the processes, documents, offices, and individuals that should be engaged, depending on the type of acquisition they are planning. This project will also involve the development of a Procurement Customer Survey, lists of Frequently Asked Questions and Answers from procurement customers, and other work products to support effective project management (e.g., work plans, status reports, meeting minutes).
ASR builds Maryland Assessment Tool for Community Health (MATCH) using the SAS v9 Platform

ASR Analytics is awarded a project with The Family Health Administration (FHA) to create a system, called the Maryland Assessment Tool for Community Health (MATCH), which will utilize the SAS v9 Platform to provide a browser-based query and reporting functionality that provides access to the full computation and analytical capabilities of SAS. MATCH is intended to address: (1) Public health purpose and vision; (2) Role of data in evaluation of morbidity and mortality; (3) Use of data to implement intervention progress; (4) Use of data to evaluate public health programs; (5) Demonstrate where we are now; and (6) Indicate where we want to go.
ASR conducts research for U.S. Department of Labor to ensure Improper Payments Information Act (IPIA) compliance

ASR Analytics is awarded a project with the Department of Labor (DOL) Office of the Chief Financial Officer on a variety of tasks surrounding selection, analysis, and validation of a statistical sample of financial transactions. DOL seeks to achieve three objectives through this project: (1) test internal controls over the key business processes, in accordance with the requirements of the revised Circular A-123, Appendix A; (2) satisfy the testing requirements for the Improper Payments Information Act of 2002 for designated business processes/programs; and (3) project the amount of monetary misstatement that may exist in all material financial statement line items. ASR is performing this work as a subcontractor to Grant Thornton.
ASR teams with Abt Associates to support research and analysis for Social Security Administration

ASR Analytics is awarded a subcontract by Abt Associates to support a five-year engagement with the Social Security Administration (SSA) Office of Research, Evaluation, and Statistics (ORES). ASR will support the Abt team by performing quick-turnaround, short-term research and evaluation studies, projects, and analyses of immediate importance to the SSA Commissioner or to other senior policy officials within the Agency.
